The existence of transcontinental

The railroad marked a new era of the expansion. Railroad project started in 1862 and finished in 1869 with the help of China workers. The existence of transcontinental railroad helped to push beyond the frontier and also transport people and goods all over the country. According to the famous historian Frederick Jason Turner, the frontier had vanished in 1890 when most of the American land had been taken (Turner, 1893).
